Tom Sheridans is widely regarded as one of the friendliest establishments in the west of Ireland due the warmth and attention of its friendly staff and the atmosphere which shines through within the building. Whether it's a chat with friends and family, watching the big match or just relaxing with a glass of Pinot Grigio in front of one of our open fireplaces, Sheridans has it all to offer.
Tom Sheridans is a new building which is full of history. Tom Sheridans opened its doors to the public on the 1st April 2004, which coincidently was the first day of the smoking ban in Ireland. The building was a new build commissioned by two local businessmen, John Mannion and Mark Reilly and the building work was carried out by Purcell Construction. The building was finished to very high standard with lots of dark woods and rich colours.
The 'Old Bar' in Sheridans was purchased by the the owners from a little bar just outside Llanelli which was once a famous watering hole for the great Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. A old picture of the bar in its former state hangs inside the bar to remind us of its history. The fireplace in the Old Bar also has great history as it was taken from Sir Paul McCartney's house in Abbey Road. There are many other interesting things to see within the building like the chandelier in the mezzanine bar which was brought from lobby of the The National History museum in London.
Whether its the past or the present, Tom Sheridans has it all to offer.
